Nuns were considered higher in rank because they were ready to give their lives for a noble cause! I was one of the chosen few.
As I continued, I disliked being viewed in this way.. The habit was an outward sign and I liked to take it off whenever I was rarely given the opportunity. I describe one time I managed to do so in our book ‘Soul Survivor’.
Not many years after leaving the order, I was labelled and drugged by shrinks, and Ireland had changed so much that now I was at the bottom of the ladder of the therapeutic state. Formerly, the church and state worked together, but in the early 70s, medicine and the state became close allies.
Even though I have been free from drugs for 25 years, like everyone who is labelled by medics, I am still considered to be a non- person because the of the power that is given to some professionals to label and drug people without informed consent and there are no bio-markers to establish that all the psychobabble found in the DSM exists. Our lives can be destroyed by myths!
This is a crime against humanity promoted by those who benefit from deception and oppression.
