It would be very lifegiving if all those who respect the human brain as the richest, most complex organ ever created might be in solidarity with those who have had their brains assaulted and battered by medics. To do this in a deceptive way is even more traumatic.
Cellular brain damage can cause a lobotomy which dehumanizes us. Both electroshock and some prescription drugs can cause severe brain damage.
Everyone who values the gift of humanity will protect it. Some of humanity’s most precious gifts are the virtues given freely to us in abundance which we can share with each other and all the universe.
Globally, many survivors of institutional, coercive, biological psychiatry have had their brains, hearts, bodies and minds assaulted by those who feign to help them.
This year MindFreedom Ireland celebrates its 20th birthday. MindFreedom Ireland is an affiliate of MindFreedom International which continues to campaign for human/civil rights, liberty, truth, justice and human dignity for all human beings, especially for those who have been abused by psychiatry.
We would appreciate your support and solidarity as sisters and fellow humans. To show your gratitude you might support 2 special events taking place in both Cork and Dublin on Sunday May the 28th at 2.pm. Some of our members are preparing to have our first Dublin electroshock protest outside the GPO, while others in Cork are preparing to celebrate with music, singing, stories, and expressions of our creativity at Fitzgeralds park. We too will highlight the damaging effects of electroshock as our Dublin friends bravely speak out on O’Connell Street. Over the years, globally, many others have protested against the barbaric use of electroshock. “ If all you have is a hammer, everything is a nail.” Two neighboring groups in the UK, Speak Out Against Psychiatry and Asylum have continued to campaign and protest over the years. Many other countries have joined the choir while Canada has inspired all of us to continue to be heard, CAPA( Coalition Against Psychiatric Assault) created the slogan ‘ Stop Shocking Our Mothers and Grandmothers’. In every country elderly women are much more likely to be victims. In Ireland it is similar and the two private Dublin hospitals St Patricks and St John of Gods provide the most electroshock in the entire country.
On the same day, wherever you live you can support us by making your special poster, taking a photo and sharing it everywhere you can because we can be the change we want to see in the world. Everyone counts! Thank you if you do!
Happy Easter!
